QP Global was founded in 2017 by two professionals who built and led the single-family offices of prominent global families. They know what single-family office excellence is because they created it, lived it, and decided to make it available to more families who deserve it.

Peter founded QP Global with a conviction that families of significant wealth deserve something better than the conventional choices — the burden of running their own family office or the compromises of outsourcing to a multi-family office or private bank. That conviction was forged over more than three decades advising and investing on behalf of some of the world's most prominent families.
Before QP Global, Peter served as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer of a single-family office for an internationally prominent family with extensive commercial real estate holdings and a publicly listed operating company. He built that office from the ground up into a world-class operation, deploying and managing over $1.3 billion across public and private investments while advising the family on its entire balance sheet. That experience of constructing a family office from scratch, and living inside the complexity that families face every day, is the foundation on which QP Global was built.
Peter's career spans senior roles at The Capital Group, where he advised billionaire families; portfolio management positions at Wilkinson O'Grady and Webster Financial Advisors; and Bankers Trust, where he lived in Hong Kong and helped lead the firm's expansion throughout Asia before joining the corporate development group, working on notable transactions including the acquisition of Alex. Brown and Wolfensohn & Co. He earned his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BA from Duke University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Peter speaks regularly at family office industry conferences and has served on the Family Office Exchange Strategic Investment Council.
Brendan P. MacMillan

Brendan brings to QP Global a rare combination: deep, multi-asset-class investment expertise honed across some of the most respected single-family offices and investment firms in the world, paired with an instinct for navigating complexity and managing risk through full market cycles. As CIO, he leads the firm's investment strategy and oversees portfolio construction across QP's client families.
Before co-founding QP Global, Brendan served as Chief Investment Officer of Akkad Capital Partners, a single-family office focused on control investments in healthcare and other industries, where he built the investment team and assembled an advisory board for deal sourcing and portfolio company management. Prior to Akkad, he was CIO of Ocean Road Advisors, a New York-based single-family office, and before that, the sole Portfolio Manager of Legatum Capital, a multi-billion-dollar single-family office and investment firm based in Dubai. Earlier in his career, Brendan was a partner at Oceanwood Capital, a Tudor spinout focused on event-driven strategies, and helped launch Clarium Capital alongside Peter Thiel. He began his career in Merrill Lynch's Mergers & Acquisitions group.
Brendan graduated cum laude from Bates College with a BA in Economics, completed the General Course at the London School of Economics, and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. Institutional Investor awarded him the Hedge Fund Rising Star distinction and nominated Ocean Road for Family Office of the Year under his leadership. He has been named a Top 30 Family Office Chief Investment Officer by Trusted Insight and serves on advisory boards for both Trusted Insight and Institutional Investor.
